Beginning each year at the end of March, Profishient Charters moves it’s fleet of charter boats to the port of Michigan City Indiana. The spring lake Michigan coho salmon season begins with limits of feisty coho off the waters of Michigan City.

Michigan City has unique features including several nearby warm water discharges which attract salmon and baitfish during the early part of our season. Michigan City Indiana is also know for its fantastic spring brown trout fishery, and can also be a chinook hotspot when the weather is right.

Michigan City Indiana also features nearby gambling at the Blue Chip Casino & Resort, a Boyd Gaming property. Lodging, fine dining, and of course exciting gambling action is just steps away from the Profishient Charters fleet.

When calling about your Michigan City Fishing Charter, be sure to ask the captain about recent weather conditions as it will often dictate where we will fish for coho. As a result, we may end up fishing in Indiana, Illinois or Michigan waters which will require proper licenses. Michigan and Indiana single day fishing licenses are included in our price.
